NBI Dropoff

Dropoff is a service to make easy for you to upload and share documents and files, up to a size of 300 GB, through a web interface.

NBI users should login first.

Drop-off (upload) a file for a NBI user
(email verification required).

Pick-up (download) a file dropped off for you.(Claim ID and Passcode required).).

Use caution regarding the type of data that is being shared which may be e.g. confidential or have privacy implications. Do not share sensitive data such as passwords or bank account details.
All personal data or personal private information and related data must be encrypted before being transferred. To seek specific advice regarding handling such data using this service please contact the Data protection officer at cert@nbi.ac.uk.
If data has been sent to the wrong recipient in error, delete the file from your outbox immediately.
The nature of storage for this service is temporary so it is crucial to ensure a backup of data being sent is available.
Suitable measures have been taken to scan the files sent/received for viruses and malware. Recipients should still ensure they have received the file from a known or trusted user before opening them. Any phishing or unsolicited dropoff's received should be notified to cert@nbi.ac.uk immediately.
Usage of this service is subject to the institutes Acceptable Usage Policy.

	NBI users: you may login with your username and password and send files to anyone, in or out of our research institutes.
	Non-NBI users: you cannot log in, but can still send files to NBI users if you know their email address. Start by clicking the "Drop-off" button.
	NBI users who wish someone outside our research institutes to send them files, can make it a lot easier for them by logging in and clicking "Request a Drop-off". That saves the other person having to prove who they are. The request created will be valid for 7 days.

Files are automatically deleted from NBI Dropoff 7 days after you upload them.
